About Us

Before Dynamite Daniel became a solo project, it started out with a band comprised of four people. In the Bible, Proverbs 29:18 reads, "Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he." Daniel Isaac Roberts had a vision, and that vision was to create a band, unlike the EMO and pop punk bands during the late 90's and early 2000's. It would be a band that would be aggressive and real in what they stood for in regards to social and spiritual beliefs.

In the summer of 2002, he met a guitarist by the name of Carlos Bayley at Queensborough Community College. They got into a deep discussion about music and certain hard rock bands like Metallica, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, and Alice in Chains whom they were heavily influenced by. Carlos decided that it would be a great idea to start a band of their own. Even though Daniel just started playing guitar a few months before he and Carlos began jamming together, he was ready, willing, and able to advance in his style of playing no matter how long it took. They started their first rehearsal session around the second week of September 2002. Within the following week, Carlos brought in an accomplished musician by the name of Erick Britton to join in the band that they were creating. Erick was willing to play the bass guitar but only if they were able to find a drummer. The drummer that they found was QCC student, Julien Laniado. It had been three months since they all played together, but they needed a name. They called the band Rated X.

A little while after Rated X became the official name for the band, Julien wanted out. He was so eager for the band to take the next step in performing at live shows that he dropped out before the band could even make that move. Shortly after he left, the band split up. Depressed for the fact that Rated X didn't last very long, Daniel Isaac Roberts sat in his room wondering what he should do next. He had the motivation to continue his music career but didn't have any connections with anyone. In the summer of 2003, he decided to go forward on his own and prayed that the good Lord would open up some door for him to continue where his band left off. He began to get back into the game by recording his vocals and guitar riffs on a 10 song demo cassette tape on which he called "PILLAGE & PLUNDER." Since the music had a very edgy and revolutionary feel, the name that Daniel gave himself was Dynamite. These 10 songs would later be featured on 3 of his original records that he would record in the coming years. He made a few copies of the "PILLAGE & PLUNDER" demo and passed them around to Queensborough Community College students during the fall of 2003. The amateur demo gave rock fans a little taste of what Mr. Dynamite Roberts could do on the guitar and with his vocals. During the late spring of 2004, he began making small recordings at Astoria Soundworks located in Astoria, NY. He had the talent to record great songs but didn't have any musicians. Engineers Sam Amato and Kamilo Kratc decided to help him by connecting him to accomplished drummer Anthony Espinoza. After two rehearsal sessions with Anthony, Daniel was convinced that he wanted him to play drums on what would be his very first EP.

In the summer of 2004, Daniel Isaac Roberts and Anthony Espinoza got together to record the project's self-titled CD. At first, there was no bass player. At the last minute, however, Kamilo Kratc decided that he wanted to play bass for the recordings. Within four hours, they completed all four tracks on the EP. On the month that Daniel started school at Nassau Community College, he sold

the EP to massive students on campus. It was a slam hit! He did a couple of shows at the Oasis bar in Baldwin, NY and got a standing ovation for his marvelous performance.

In the summer of 2006, Daniel was ready to release the project's next CD, "LEFT ON THE OUTSIDE." There were a couple of problems that escalated before the album's initial release. Astoria Soundworks Recording Studio was closing down, and along with that, Anthony Espinoza was not available to help in the growth of the project after the birth of his newborn son. Daniel never gave up. He got together with engineer Eugene Sackey from Multisound Studios and started recording tracks for the new album. Since there were no other musicians available to help out with the completion of this new record, Eugene decided to layout the drum tracks through his drum machine. The album was finished in December of 2006. It had received much praise from friends of Daniel Isaac Roberts and fans on his Myspace Music page. The two songs off of the album that received much radio airplay through the Internet were "The Lone Wanderer" and "Memories." Both songs went up to #1 on the alternative and hard rock charts on Radioindy.com. It was a huge maturity from his first record, and because of that, he received much credibility.

In the fall of 2007, musicians Carlos Bayley and Erick Britton decided to rejoin Daniel for the recording of the project's very first Christmas album entitled "A DYNAMITE CHRISTMAS." Carlos's closest friend, Jarone, decided to play bass with the aggressive trio. The intial release of the Christmas album came out in December 2007 and featured four songs, "What Child Is This," "Joy To The World," "Silent Night! Holy Night!," and "The First Noel." All songs were recorded live. In the fall of 2008, Daniel decided to remake all of the songs, including 8 new additional songs and intros, giving the record a more professional studio sound. It was on this CD that Daniel's name was changed from Dynamite to Dynamite Daniel. The most popular song off of the newly remastered Christmas CD was Dynamite Daniel's rendition of "O Come, O Come Emmanuel."

Four years after Dynamite Daniel recorded the "LEFT ON THE OUTSIDE (LP)," Daniel thought it would be best to re-record the album and remaster all 8 tracks. The original "LEFT ON THE OUTSIDE (LP)" is nothing in comparison to the "LEFT ON THE OUTSIDE (Re-Recorded & Remastered) (LP)." The tempos to the fast songs are much faster, and the tempos to the slow songs are much slower. The album opens up with a riveting, jaw-dropping new version of the project's hit song "The Lone Wanderer" which was edited, re-recorded, and remastered by Daniel's new guitar buddy, Da-Ko. The head crushing sound of "Memories," the fist pumping sound of "Betrayal," followed by the epic metal orchestra sound of "Kristin's Tree" turned this hardcore album into a metal masterpiece. After hearing this album numerous amount of times, I can gladly say that Dynamite Daniel has mastered the arts of progressive rock and Christian metal and shows no signs of slowing down.

After they received massive internet streams and internet radio play, Dynamite Daniel thought that it would be best to sell "Judgment Day (Rock Instrumental)" and "Judgment Day (Demo Version)" as a 2 song demo. Both tracks would be featured on Dynamite Daniel's follow-up album entitled "WAGING WAR." Fans of Dynamite Daniel agreed that the "Judgment Day" tracks were the best composition of music that he had ever created throughout his entire music career as an underground progressive rock and Christian metal artist.

In the fall of 2011, the "WAGING WAR" album was released. "WAGING WAR" features Dynamite Daniel’s best guitar works, best production, best lyrical delivery, and best sound quality. Songs like “One Step At A Time,” “God of War,” and “Anger” will keep you head banging for hours. Songs like “Waging War,” “Soldier Of Fortune,” and “A Mile Away” will make you want to join in the battle for freedom. Songs like “Judgment Day,” “The Antichrist,” and “End Of The World” will make you look out for signs of the coming Messiah. Never has there ever been a record through the course of Dynamite Daniel’s 8 year longevity that has featured such social consciousness and Biblical proportions of the end times like this one. It is the ultimate Christian metal album of the decade.

In the spring of 2013, Dynamite Daniel released his greatest hits album entitled "THE BEST OF DYNAMITE DANIEL." This album is a collection of all of Dynamite Daniel's most popular songs during the course of 10 years that the project has been in operation. The album also features 4 newly revised versions of "Day of Revolution," "Thrash 'n' Burn," "When the Crowd Goes Wild," and "Livin' in Your Own Hell" which were originally recorded on Dynamite Daniel's 2004 "DYNAMITE (EP)." Now both new and old fans can enjoy these great songs with catchy hooks all over again and in a whole new way.

In the summer of 2014, Dynamite Daniel released "MONEY DOESN'T MAKE THE MAN." “MONEY DOESN'T MAKE THE MAN” is the perfect follow-up record after “WAGING WAR.” Though the record has fewer track listings, the content of the record is just as strong as its predecessor. Dynamite Daniel focuses on the scriptures in the Holy Bible, Mathew 6:24 and I Timothy 6:10, as he explains how the love of money is the root of all evil and that we must choose to serve God or mammon in all six powerful tracks. The record gives a punch of alternative and punk rock energy with “Matthew 6:24,” “Money Doesn't Make The Man,” and “Government Spending” and gives an aggressive kick of heavy metal with “No Conviction,” “False Prophets,” and “Greed (Change Our Hearts).” “MONEY DOESN'T MAKE The MAN” is an enjoying and insightful record to listen to. All glory goes to God for the brilliant and creative delivery of this Christian metal manifesto of an album.

The song "Endangered Species" was initially recorded by Dynamite Daniel in 2011. The good Lord Jesus Christ gave Dynamite Daniel the melody and catchy lyrics to "Endangered Species" in a dream. After he shared the song with a few friends on Facebook, Dynamite Daniel received much recognition and praise for its originality. Four years later, Dynamite Daniel thought that it was time to finally share this great, God-given track to the world. "Endangered Species" would later appear as the 10th track off of Dynamite Daniel's 2015 album entitled "SOCIAL DISORDER."

In the summer of 2015, the "SOCIAL DISORDER" album was released. In the album “SOCIAL DISORDER,” Dynamite Daniel was able to expose the evils of racism thanks to the media’s news feeds which sparked a nationwide awareness of racial inequality and police brutality which started from the year 2014 up until the present time. Not only does the album touch on the evils of racism as well as racial injustice, it also touched on child abuse, statutory rape, abusive relationships, animal cruelty, and so much more. The music is very heavy and the lyrics are very thought-provoking as well as spiritual. The highlights of this metal masterpiece were the songs “America, Land Of The Free,” “Mrs. Reyna,” “Intelligent Women That Go For Foolish Men,” “Social Disorder,” “The Interracial Dating Game,” and “Endangered Species.” The album ”SOCIAL DISORDER” is truly Dynamite Daniel’s best work since his critically acclaimed album “WAGING WAR.”

In the summer of 2018, Dynamite Daniel released his very first double album "LOVE & HATE." The album “LOVE & HATE” has a collective sound of hard rockin’ catchy ballads on the first disc and head bangin’ thrash metal songs on the second disc. Though the time length of the songs on “LOVE & HATE” were much shorter than the songs from its highly anticipated predecessor “SOCIAL DISORDER,” the lyrical delivery and masterful musical compositions on “LOVE & HATE” were just as powerful as “SOCIAL DISORDER.” The highlights of this timeless Christian metal classic were the songs “Love Me Or Loveth Me Not,” “Stomp On Satan Anthem,” “Milady,” “Yesenia,” “A Mother’s Love,” “A Lover’s Hate,” “The End Of Time,” and Dynamite Daniel’s version of the hit song “No Easy Way Out” by famous musical recording artist Robert Tepper. Though this record may not be placed on the same shelf as Pink Floyd’s double album “The Wall,” it could at least be placed on the shelf right underneath it.

In the winter of 2016, Dynamite Daniel and his band were scheduled to perform at a rock club in New York City called The Delancey. With the limited amount of time that he and his band had to play on stage, they decided to do a cover of popular hit song "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by famous rock band Nirvana. Their rendition of this great hit earned them a standing ovation by the audience in the crowd. Little did they know that their performance was recorded by one of the DJs who attended their show that night. After receiving the recorded demo of their live performance at The Delancey, Dynamite Daniel didn't hesitate to upload the track on his NumberOneMusic and ReverbNation webpages. The track was received well by his fans on all three websites. For four straight years, Dynamite Daniel's rendition of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" was on heavy rotation. Then in the summer of 2020, "SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT (LIVE)" was finally available for sale on Apple, CD Baby, Napster, Spotify, and other online music stores. "SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT (LIVE)" would later appear as the 14th track off of Dynamite Daniel's greatest hits album "THE BEST OF DYNAMITE DANIEL: VOLUME II."

In the spring of 2018, Dynamite Daniel was approached by a well-known A&R company called Little Hipster Music. While scouting for new artists that they could introduce to major record labels, they came across Dynamite Daniel's ReverbNation webpage. Impressed by his talent and his work, they asked for Dynamite Daniel to re-record one of his major hits so that they could present it to one or more of the record labels that they were in close relationship with. The track that Little Hipster Music thought would make a major impact was Dynamite Daniel's classic hit song "Thrash 'N' Burn." The offer by this legendary A&R company seemed promising, so Dynamite Daniel agreed to re-record the track with his band.  In the summer of 2018, Dynamite Daniel brought his band members back to Astoria Soundworks Recording Studio where he originally recorded "Thrash 'N' Burn" in the year of 2004. After several takes, Dynamite Daniel and his band finally nailed the re-recording of "Thrash 'N' Burn" making it a much stronger and aggressive track than it's original release 13 years ago. Amazed by the new re-recorded version of Dynamite Daniel's "Thrash 'N' Burn," Little Hipster Music didn't hesitate to send the track over to major record labels. In the summer of 2020, "THRASH 'N' BURN (LITTLE HIPSTER MUSIC VERSION)" was finally released to the world through Apple, CD Baby, Napster, Spotify, and other online music stores. "THRASH 'N' BURN (LITTLE HIPSTER MUSIC VERSION)" would later appear as the 13th track off of Dynamite Daniel's greatest hits album "THE BEST OF DYNAMITE DANIEL: VOLUME II."

In the summer of 2020, Dynamite Daniel released his 2nd greatest hits album "THE BEST OF DYNAMITE DANIEL: VOLUME II." This album is a collection of all of Dynamite Daniel's most popular songs during the course of 17 years that the project has been in operation. The album also features 2 bonus tracks which were "THRASH 'N' BURN (LITTLE HIPSTER MUSIC VERSION)" and "SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT (LIVE)." If I could think of one word to describe Dynamite Daniel's "THE BEST OF DYNAMITE DANIEL: VOLUME II" it would be...timeless!

Throughout the years that Dynamite Daniel has been around, the project's motive has always remained the same and that is to empower people to take a stand in what is right, just, and true. The solo rock project is aggressive, but the heart and soul of it relies upon the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. With all of the musicians who have planted seeds into this growing project, it wouldn't have been possible without His blessing and divine intervention. People who are not even influenced by rock music have been heavily influenced by Dynamite Daniel and are still influenced by the project to this very day. The Dynamite Daniel project will never die, because it has already left a powerful legacy behind it.
